Broken A/C

I've been working from home since Wednesday. The air-conditioner (a/c) is broke at work, and my boss gave my team permission to work from home. It gets really hot in the office without the a/c. This week the temperature in the office has been averaging around 83 degrees. Last summer, the a/c would break at least every two weeks. The landlord for the building has finally decided to have a new machine installed.

Working from home is nice, but there is a drawback. You see, at work I have two big monitors. One of the monitors is even in widescreen format so I have lots of desktop space to work with. Having the PSD on monitor and my code on the other makes work so much easier and faster. I don't have to keep switching back and forth between code and the PSD for reference. Unfortunately at home, I'm working on my powerbook so not only am I on just one monitor, but it's also smaller. Using multiple monitors truly does increase productivity. If you start using multiple monitors, you feel constrained if you ever go back to just one monitor.
